Hello Cub Families!
The Glen Allen Elementary School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is excited to welcome our new and returning families to the 2019-20 school year! We hope that you will soon see that Glen Allen Elementary is more than just a school - it is a community dedicated to providing children with the tools they need to succeed in their educational journey.
I am excited to serve as your Parent Teacher Association (PTA) president for the 2019-2020 school year! I look forward to continuing the long-standing tradition of partnership and collaboration with our amazing administration, teachers and staff to provide an excellent experience for all our families.
I hope that each of you will consider joining the PTA. It is a great organization that seeks to make our Cub Community stronger by providing additional resources not allocated by Henrico County. Our PTA raises funds that go directly to the teachers, staff and students. The majority our operating budget goes directly to support a variety of programs such as educational software for students, afterschool enrichment programs, science fair, Watchdog program, teacher grants, school beautification, hospitality, and community events, to include Glen Allen Day. The remainder of the budget is spent on maintaining PTA operations such as website maintenance, national/local membership dues, and training for the Executive Board.
Volunteering with the PTA is a great way to meet other parents and get connected to the Cub community! Our PTA counts on your support and involvement to be successful – all skill sets and talents welcome!
